A multi-day running camp that will provide ideal training for the 170K Ultra Tour Monte Rosa race on the Swiss-Italian border, as well as for other multi-day or ultramarathon races.
Kathmandu is especially beautiful in the winter. It is surrounded by a ring of hills which can be linked together to allow circumnavigation of the entire Kathmandu Valley. It makes for a 100-mile journey with a lot of ascent and descent.
“It’s a great adventure,” says Lizzy Hawker, training camp leader and elite ultrarunner who set a Fastest Known Time (FKT) on this route in March 2016. This running tour breaks the journey into manageable stages with time to enjoy the running, the views and the culture.

RACE TRAVEL PACKAGE
If you look forward to trying more off-road adventures and want to enjoy your holiday as well, then an adventure marathon can be the right choice! Running a marathon or ultra as part of a holiday can turn your trip into a memory of a lifetime!
Depending on the destination and your own preference you can choose a travel package and be part of a group or you can prepare your own trip and share the camaraderie of being with other runners for just a few days.
Especially if you’re time poor it can be great to have everything taken care of and not think about race entry, accommodation or sightseeing:
8 April: PYONGYANG MARATHON TRAVEL PACKAGE, NORTH-KOREA
2018 will be the fifth year that the Pyongyang Marathon (or Mangyongdae Prize International Marathon) is open to foreign amateur runners. A unique chance to get to know one of the world’s most mysterious countries.
You can run the 5K, 10K, half or full marathon.
All three of these races follow the same course, which is fully recognized by the IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations).
For 2018 the race is a return course through the city center. Runners will go past many of the iconic buildings, monuments, and streets of Pyongyang, before heading out into the countryside, just outside the urban center, before running back again.
This route, which is IAAF bronze label certified, gives runners the chance to see more of the capital than in previous years, and also allows more interaction with people along the course, as it includes more parts of the city than ever before.
All races will start and finish inside Kim Il Sung Stadium, in front of a Korean crowd of max 50,000 people.
Non-Korean participants are required to enter the country as part of an organized tour group via Koryo Tours.
Just a few thousand people are granted entry to the DPRK every year, and tourists compose only a fraction of this number.
Taking part in the Pyongyang Marathon via an organized tour of 3-5 days is a great opportunity to be able to visit North-Korea.
